Freeman, 87, of 2061 Howard Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1992, in the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Tobacco Township, April 12, 1904, he had moved to Detroit and then came back to Gladwin County in 1968. Mr. Freeman was a screw machine operator at Detroit Diesel and retired in Nov. 1967 after 29 years. He was a life member of the Masonic Union Lodge of S. O. No. 3, Detroit. Mr. Freeman and the former Alice Zimmerman were married April 19, 1954. She preceded him in death on Jan. 16. He is survived by a brother, Harold of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin, and one sister, Geraldine Simpson. Services were held, today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Deacon Stanley Belanger officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
