Mr. French was born in St. Clair county, Mich., July 4, 1854, and was married to Miss Esther Ringler at Big Rapids, Mich., Dec. 25, 1878. To this union were born eleven children, all of whom excepting one survive their father. Mr. French leaves to mourn his loss his widow and ten children, viz: Mrs. Carrie Randall of Kinde, Mich., Charles French and William French of Beaverton, Mrs. Ida Derrick of Detroit, Herbert and John at Camp Custer, Mrs. Hattie Arnold of Collinwood, Tenn., Elmer, Meda and Edna at home; ten grandchildren, besides four sisters and three brothers. Services were conducted by Rev. R. C. Mitts Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Dale cemetery.
