Mae M. Fruchey, 82, of Beaverton, died suddenly Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997 at 
MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Gladwin. Born May 10, 1915 in Beaverton, 
she lived in Beaverton most of his life. The former Mae Bardwell married 
Arthur W. Fruchey, May 27, 1933 in Clare County. He preceded her in death 
Sept. 6, 1996. She had been employed by S. S. Kresge Company in Midland, 
retiring in 1975 after 20 years. She was a member of the Dale United Methodist 
Church in Beaverton.
   She is survived by one son, Wayne and wife Marlene of Beaverton; one 
daughter, Norma and husband Roger Johnson of Essexville; two sisters, Ruth 
Bradley of Gaylord and Eva Rowe of South Haven; two sisters-in-law, Norma 
Bardwell of Kalispell, Mont. and Evelyn Overfield of Beaverton; five 
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
   Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel with the Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in 
Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. Those planning an expression of 
sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Dale United Methodist Church or 
Gladwin Hospice.
