Fruchey, 85, of 4003 Howard Rd., Beaverton, died Monday, July 22, at Mt. Pleasant Medical Facility, following a long illness. Born April 8, 1899, in Paulding County, Ohio, he had been a resident of Gladwin County 72 years, since 1902. He and the former Mae Foster were married October 2, 1912, in Gladwin. Mr. Fruchey was a professional dog trainer and was widely known through out the state. He was a life member of the Beaverton Grouse Dog Club. Surviving are his wife, Mae; a son, Arthur of Edenville; and a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Overfield of Beaverton; a brother, Lawrence of Breckenridge; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Ervin of Midland; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home Beaverton Chapel with the Rev. Zina Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Beaverton Cemetery.
