Robert V. Garver, 66, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998 at home in 
Tobacco Township, after a short illness. Born Feb. 16, 1932 in Clare County, 
he lived in Gladwin County since 1994 and previously lived in Bellville. 
Robert married the former Dorothea Smith, May 29, 1954 in Houghton Lake. He 
was a veteran. Robert worked for Federal Screw Works in Romulus as a mill 
wright operator.
   Besides his wife he is survived by four daughters, Denise and husband 
Domnic Fratangelo of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Arlene Garver, and Cathy Ehgotz, both of 
Hartland, and Robin and husband Daniel Clemons of Linden; one son, Guy Steve 
and wife Velvet of Fowlerville; six brothers; five sisters; and eight 
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, and one sister.
   Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery, 
Beaverton with Nial Abbott officiating. Burial was in Tobacco Township (Dale) 
Cemetery.
