GIBSON Mrs. Harriet Gibson, 70, died on Thursday, September 26, at her home on 214 Tonkin St., in Beaverton, after a heart attack, following a serious illness of one month. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Beaverton Methodist church, preceded by a prayer service at the home at 2:15. Rev. Donald Sailor officiated. Harriet Matthews was born on August 30, 1876 in England. She was married to James Gibson, in Trenton, Michigan, making her home in Beaverton for the past 24 years. She was a member of the Lyle Evangelical church, the Presbyterian Ladies Aid, the Lyle Ladies Aid, the Beaverton Garden Club, the Mystery Sister Club. Surviving are a son, Stephen Albert Gibson, of Flint; and a daughter, Nellie Louise Stuhr, of Beaverton, and seven grandchildren. Another son, James Arthur Gibson, died in the service of his country.
