Gladwin County Record dated 07-13/1977 Column - 7 Page - 2
Charles A. Gilbert, 59, of Gladwin, died Friday, July 1, in the Midland 
Hospital following a long illness. Born in Pontiac on September 16, 1917, he 
was employed by Alward Electric, Inc. in Gladwin. He was married to Kathy 
Worden in Beaverton in 1975.
   Surviving are 4 sons, Leroy, Charles, Bobby and Elmer of Pontiac; one step-
son, Donald of Gladwin; 3 daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Thorn and Mrs. Virginia 
Strait of Pontiac and Charlene Gilbert of Gladwin; 3 brothers, including 
Raymond of Gladwin; 3 sisters, and 26 grandchildren. 
   Services were held Tuesday, July 5, at 1 p.m. from the Savage Funeral Home, 
Standish. The Rev. Brent Jerome officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
