George J. Gilbert, 70, of S. Hay Road, died Monday, September 10, at Midland 
Hospital, after a short illness. He was born August 12, 1903, in Montgomery 
County, Ohio, and was married to the former Jeanette Albrant August 1, 1926, 
in Kentucky. Mr. Gilbert was a retired employee of Buick Motors in Flint and 
moved to Gladwin County 10 years ago from Mt. Morris. Surviving are his wife 
Jeanette of Hoxeyville; a son George Jr. of Fenton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Elaine 
Maxson of Gladwin and Mrs. Evelyn Colter of Bellvue, Col.; 2 brothers and 2 
sisters; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services are Wednesday 
(today) at 2:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. The Rev. F. E. Voller 
officiated and burial was in Beaverton Cemetery.
