Arthur V. Gilman of Midland, previously of Beaverton, age 90, died September 
10, 2002 at Britney Manor in Midland, of a long illness. He was born May 6, 
1912 in Bentley, Michigan. Arthur had lived in Gladwin County since 1950, 
moving here from Grand Rapids. He was a truck driver for the Gladwin County 
Road Commission. Arthur married Edna (Case) Gilman at Sylvania, Ohio on 
October 14, 1940. She passed away in 2002.
   Surviving are four sons, Vern Gilman of Beaverton, Robert (Betty) Gilman of 
Midland, James (Helen) Gilman of Wolverine, William Gilman of Gaylord, and 
John Gilman and friend Karen of Beaverton; two daughters-in-law, Alice Graham 
of (?) and Kathy Gilman of South Carolina; 18 grandchildren and 27 great 
grandchildren. Arthur was preceded by his parents and his wife.
   Funeral services were held Friday, September 13, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. at Hall 
Funeral Home in Beaverton. Pastor Jody Ellis officiated. Burial took place in 
Beaverton Cemetery.
