She was born May 17, 1919 to Glen and Clara (Hempsted) Case in Langsburg. She married Arthur Gilman in Sylvania, Ohio Oct. 14, 1940. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. In addition to her husband, Arthur of Beaverton, she is survived by five sons, Vern of Beaverton, Robert (Betty) of Midland, James (Helen) of Wolverine, William of Gaylord, and John and friend, Karen of Beaverton; two daughters-in- law, Alice Gilman of Nunica and Kathy Gilman of South Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene (Max) Wilson of Eaton Rapids and Marion (Hudson) Downing of Owosso; and a brother, Edwin (Mona) Case of Corunna. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. The family will receive visitors from 3-9 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the Hall Funeral Home - Beaverton Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. She will be buried in the Beaverton Cemetery.
