(Glidden) Farley, 93, of 3750 E. Monroe, Durand, died Monday, May 14, 1990, in the Durand Convalescent Center after a long illness. Born in Bear Lake, Aug. 7, 1896, she lived most of her life in Flint. She moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1959 and to Durand in October 1989. Mrs Farley was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, church pianist, a member of the Ladies Aid Society and worked with children of the church. The former Clara Smith, she was married to Waldo Glidden in 1919 in Flint. He died in 1952. She then married Claude Farley in 1956 in Flint and he died in 1978. Surviving are one son, Arnold of Vassar; one daughter, Mrs. James (Virginia) Reeves of Flushing; a step-son, Dale Farley of Dalton, Ga.; 2 step- daughters, Mildred Riley of Rice Lake, Wisc. and Waneta Cuhel of Denver, Colo.; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Elder Douglas Carlson will officiate and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery.
