Gladwin County Record dated 04-24/1974 Column - 4 Page - 2
Mrs. Marie Glidden, 75, of Houghton Lake, died Monday, April 22,  in a nursing 
home in Saginaw. Born in Poland on March 20, 1899, she moved to Roscommon 
County 22 years ago from Detroit. The former Marie Szatkowkski, she was 
married to Harvey Glidden on June 30, 1920, in Bad Axe. He preceded her in 
death on July 4, 1962.
   Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jean Chegar of Saginaw; one son, Harvey 
Jr. of Detroit; and three grandchildren. Rites will be held today, Wednesday, 
at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin. Burial will be in the Dale 
Cemetery.
