Govitz, 52, of 64 E. Henry, River Rouge, died suddenly Tuesday in Outer Drive Hospital, Lincoln Park, following a heart attack. Born in Bay County on March 21, 1909; he was employed as an arc welder for the Great Lake Steel Co., in Detroit. Surviving are his wife, Calisti; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Johnson, of San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Jean Hager, of Flint, Mrs. Betty Sharp, of Beaverton, and Sharen Govitz, of Mt. Morris; five sons, Kenneth, Leonard, John, Richard, and Duane, all of Beaverton; five brothers, Mike and George, of Beaverton, Pete, of Florida, Joe, of Detroit, and Frank, of Cleveland, Ohio; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Dupay, Euclid, Ohio, Mrs Caroline Anthony, of Cleveland, and Mrs. Ann Willey, of California. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Delmar Dravenstatt will officiate and burial will be in Beaverton Cemetery.
