SERVICES HELD FOR ROY GRANT
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at 2p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home 
for Roy Grant, 48, of Beaverton, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his 
home Sunday. The Rev. Samuel Charlton officiated and burial was in Mt. Forest 
Cemetary in Bay County. Born on Sapt.11,1912, in Bay County, he was married to 
the former Rose Ritenburgh on June 21,1938. He was employed as a carpenter for 
the Brown Lumber Co. of Midland, and had lived in Gladwin County for 30 years. 
Survivers include his widow, Rose of Beaverton; his father Robert of 
Coleman;three daughters, Mrs. John Damzyn of Arizona, Mrs. Ronald Riley of 
Flint and Etta Joy Grant of Beaverton; 4 sons, Pfc. Leroy, U.S. Army, Ronald, 
Dwain and Chester of Beaverton; two step daughters, Mrs. Sarah Fike and Mrs. 
Gladys Dolfi of Saginaw; a step son, Pfc Ernest Gower, of the U.S. Army; four 
brothers, Frank of Lake, Bernard of Flint, Chester of Clio and Robert of 
Beaverton; and four sisters, Mrs. Gurnith Allis of Flint, Mrs. Alice Reimann 
and Mrs. Mable Hayes of Clio and Mrs. Ellen Witoski of Sanford.
