Gladwin County Record  1996
Ronald Grant,55, of Beaverton, died Tuesday, Aug. 27,1996 at William Beaument 
Hospital in Royal Oak following a sudden illness. Born Sept. 21,1940 in 
Coleman, he was a lifetime resident of the Beaverton area. Mr. Grant was a 
self employed carpenter. He married the former Nancy Loney Nov.4,1983 in 
Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Pamela and 
husband Melvin Korb of Superior, Ariz.; 2 step daughters, Denise and husband 
Joe Moses of Baraga and Kristy and husband David Welch of Glendale Ariz.; four 
sisters, Sarah Jane Fike of Bridgeport, Gladys Dolfi of Detroit, Loretta 
Fisher of Spruce, and Etta Karklin of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Leroy Grant of 
Gladwin and Dwain Grant of Beaverton; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in 
death by 2 brothers, Ernest Gower and Chester Grant and one sister, Ardith 
Damzyn. Rites were held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel and the Rev. Duane Koontz officiated. Those planning an 
expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Hospice of 
Gladwin Area.
