Page - ? Anna “Rosalie” Greene , our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to her Lord and Savior on his birthday, December 25, 2002, after a sudden illness. Anna “Rosalie” Greene was born August 11, 1921, in Lawrence County, Illinois. Her parents, Dewey D. Gerhart and Lora (Norton) Gerhart preceded her in death, as did one brother, Dewey Gerhart, Jr., and one sister, Ida DeWitt. Rosalie graduated from Beaverton High School and married the class president/captain of the football team, Thomas D. Bergman, a lifelong resident of Beaverton. They were married for 32 years and had three children together. He preceded her in death in 1972. Rosalie married Lowell “Dale” Greene in 1979, and lived in Mount Pleasant. They were married for 19 years. He preceded her in death in 1998. Rosalie then moved to Midland and lived there for four years, and just recently moved to Gladwin, Michigan, to be with her daughter and son-in-law. Rosalie is survived by her three children, Gary R. (Valerie) Bergman of Midland; David G. (Elizabeth) Bergman of Mount Pleasant; and Cathryn S. (Harry) Geweniger of Gladwin. She has four grandchildren, Jeffrey T. (Carmie) Bergman of Indianapolis, Indiana; Cheryl Bergman of Farmington Hills; David Bergman of Monroe; and Daniel (Lisa) Bergman of Mount Pleasant. She also has five wonderful great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Robert (Mary) Gerhart of Bayonit Point, Florida; John (Pat) Gerhart of Bayonit, Florida; Gene (Nila) Gerhart of Springhills, Florida; and Daniel (Noreene) Gerhart of Hudson, Florida; two sisters, Bernice Linton and Linda Clothier of Midland; and a sister-in-law, Neva Gerhart of Reed City; as well as many nieces and nephews. Rosalie was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post 7303. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Oak Forest, Illinois, and attended its Midland Chapel. Rosalie’s faith in God and her neverending love and support for her family and close friends will always be cherished in the minds and hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was a truly beautiful person both inside and out, and could light up a room with her entrance. Funeral services were conducted by Pastor David T. Mensing from Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2002, at Hall Funeral Home, 430 South Ross St., Beaverton, with visitation from 12:00 p.m., until the time of service. Services were followed by burial at Dale Cemetery in Beaverton, and then a luncheon at the V.F.W. Hall in Beaverton.
