PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

   Jerry C. Greer, 73, died last Wednesday at his home in Beaverton after a 
four year illness. Born in Putnam County, Ohio, on August 14, 1890, he came to 
Beaverton from Midland County in 1921. He was married to the former Marie Mogg 
on Nov. 25, 1914, in Midland. A member of the Gladwin County Farm Bureau, he 
served the community as alderman on the city council and was a member of 
county and township A.S. C. committees.
   Surviving are his wife, Marie; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McMahon and Mrs. 
Deora Oliver, of Beaveerton; two brothers, Dean Geer, of Coleman and Oris 
Geer, of Lansing; three sisters, Mrs. Orpha LaLone and Mrs. Rose Lorenzen, of 
Pontiac and Mrs. Lela Brugger, of Clare; seven grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of 
the Brethren with Rev. Randall Roose officiating. Burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery.
