Gladwin County Record dated 04-10/1974 Column - 4 Page - 2
Douglas Gross, 74, of Anchor St., Gladwin City, died Saturday, April 6, in 
Traverse City following an illness of 6 months. Born in Hume, Ohio, November 
21, 1899, he had been a resident of Gladwin County for the past 30 years. He 
was a retired oil field worker. 
   Surviving are a son Thomas of Tawas City; a half-brother Harvey of Merrill; 
and a half-sister, Mrs. George Doil of Pittsburg, Calif. Services were held 
Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, and burial was in the 
Beaverton Cemetery. The Rev. Byron Hatch officiated at the rites.
