Earl Fogelsonger and the Rev. Verne Summers officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery. Mr. Guernsey, a retired farmer, died February 14 at his home in Tobacco Township, after a long illness. He was born June 28, 1888, in Lenawee County and married the former Gladys Denzer June 3, 1921. A resident of Gladwin County for 57 years, he served as Tobacco Township clerk for several years, taught school in the county, also was an oil lease buyer. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; one son, Max of Beaverton; four daughters, Mrs. Verta Tolly of Leslie, Mrs. Wilda Rowley of Gladwin, Mrs. Cora Lee Foster and Mrs. Bonnie Tolly of Beaverton; one brother, Clement, of Beaverton; two sisters, Mrs. Verta Smith of Shephard and Mrs. Grace Smith of Freeland, and 14 grandchildren.
