RITES HELD FOR MRS. IRA GUERNSEY

   Funeral services were held Sunday, October 19th for Mrs. Ira Guernsey at 
the Dale Methodist Church. Cora Minerva Baser was born October 8, 1867 at 
Corunna and died at her home in Dale, October 16, 1941. To her marriage to Ira 
Guernsey five children were born, one daughter, Ellen preceding her in death 
at the age of 18 months.
   Mr. and Mrs. Guernsey have been residents of Gladwin county since 1903, 
when they came here from Lenawee county. Surviving her are her husband, two 
sons, Clarence LeRoy of Beaverton, Clement Terrence of Gladwin and two 
daughters Vertie Mae of Flint and Grace Edna of Midland, a brother, Delbert C. 
Baser of Sanford and a number of grand-children. 
   Rev. Howard McDonald of Beaverton gave the prayer at the house and George 
Huber officiated at the church services. Burial was in Dale cemetery.
