Alvina R. Haenlein, 78, of Saginaw, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998 at Cartwright 
Center Nursing Home in Saginaw, after a long illness. Born Jan. 7, 1920 in 
Saginaw, she lived in Saginaw the last eight years and previously lived in 
Beaverton. Alvina married Robert Price who preceded her in death in 1981. She 
married Earl Haenlein in 1981. She worked for General Motors in Saginaw as an 
assembly worker, retiring in 1974 after 30 years. She was a member of the 
Albright Shores Eagles Auxiliary #3655, and Good Shephard Lutheran Church.
   Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Robert and wife Joni Price 
of Saginaw; one daughter, Barbara Margiotta of California; one stepdaughter, 
Mary Jo and husband Fred Burback of Freeland; one step-son, Richard Allan 
Haenlein of Saginaw; two sisters, Bertha Bean of Saginaw, and Dorethea Bierd 
of Bay City; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was 
preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Boettcher, and one sister, Rose 
Neuwirth. 
   Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel with Pastor Tim Petersen officiating. Burial will be in 
Billings Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of 
Saginaw, or the American Cancer Society.
