L. G. (Ted) Hair, 83, of Gladwin, died Friday, March 22, 1996 at MidMichigan 
Regional Medical Center - Gladwin following a long illness. Born Dec. 14, 1912 
in Oakwood, Ohio, he resided in Gladwin County since 1974 when he moved from 
the Tri-City area. He had been employed as a parts man with Draper Chevrolet 
in Saginaw and Burt Watson in Freeland for 42 years and retired in 1974. Mr. 
Hair married the former Myrtle M. Decker March 3, 1933 in South Bend, Ind. She 
preceded him in death Dec. 22, 1980.
   Surviving are 4 sons, Ted J. and wife Lucille of Beaverton, Larry and wife 
Darlene of Bay City, Rodney and wife Kathy of Beaverton, and Steven of Hope; 
one brother, Richard of Bellview, Fla.; 2 sisters, Elsie Brassauer and Mary 
Katherine Schook, both of Skidway Lake; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-
grandchildren.
   Rites were held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 25 from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton chapel. Pastor Jim Walters officiated and burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery, Tobacco Township. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish 
to consider memorials to the Billings Township Fire Department or the American 
Lung Association.
