Our  beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother Dorothy (Whitman) Hale, 78
died Mar. 18, 2001 after a short illness of cancer. Dorothy was born June 
20,1922 in Beaverton, to Daniel & Mary "Louise" Whitman. She was a lifetime 
resident of Gladwin County.Dorothy married Vern L. Hale Aug. 28, 1938 in 
Beaverton. Four daughters; Barb & Don Hagenbaugh, Bea & R.C. Brubaker of 
Beaverton, Helen & Jesse Dale of Burton & Judy & John Slaughter of Argentine. 
Three Sons; Bill & Judy Hale of Gladwin, Leo & Flo Hale of Beaverton & Rick & 
Lori Hale of Harrison. She is survived by one sister; Mabel & Dan Bruner of 
Gladwin & two brothers; Charles Whitman of Sanford & Forrest & Ermily Whitman 
of Freeland; 26 grandchildren & 30 great-grandchildren. She was proceded in 
death by her parents, husband and one son James. Services were held at 11:am. 
Tuesday at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin with Elder Esther Rodabaugh 
officiating and ministry through songs by grandson Christopher Hale. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Hospice of Gladwin.

Additional Comments:
This is my mother's sister. She died 3 months before my mom.
