Hamm, 57, of 3262 Burgess Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, May 22, 1993, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after a long illness. Born in Havana, Ill., Nov. 10, 1935, he moved to Gladwin County in 1968, from Portsmouth, Ohio. Mr. Hamm was a production worker for Saginaw Steering Gear in Saginaw until retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Beaverton Church of God. Mr. Hamm and the former Mary Evans were married March 16, 1958, in Blue Creek, Ohio. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Michael (Kathy) Witer and Mrs. William (Rosella) Huskins of Beaverton; one son, James of Beaverton; one brother, William of Portsmouth, Ohio; 2 sisters, Shirley Prior of Portsmouth, Ohio and Rosella Stoike of Beaverton; and 4 grandchildren. Rites were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton Church of God. Pastor Elwyn MacDonald officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
