Mariann L. Hammond, 17, of 1322 Guernsey Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, April 
29, in the Midland Hospital Center following a long illness. Born in Tennessee 
on December 9, 1961, she came to Gladwin County in 1973 from Sterling Heights. 
She was a member of the Beaverton High School junior class. 
   Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Swartz of Beaverton; one 
sister, Marie with the U.S. Navy in Japan; her twin brother, Michael at home; 
and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Webber of Minnesota and Mrs. Marcy 
Swartz of Warren. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. from St. 
Anne's Catholic Church in Edenville. The Rev. Father Robert Davey officiated 
and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall 
Funeral Home.
