Harley, 58, of 5231 W. Lang Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Tuesday, April 18, 1989, in the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Alma, Jan. 24, 1931, he moved to Gladwin County 13 years ago from Farwell. Mr. Harley was a machinist in the tool and die industry and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Daniel's Band. Mr. Harley and the former Norma Allen were married, May 6, 1961, in Harrison. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Robert of Mio, Larry of Grand Rapids, and Donald of Beaverton; one daughter, Jean Harley of Beaverton; one step-son, Richard LeBeau of Bay City; 2 step-daughters, Mildred Bennett and Jessie Bolton of Beaverton; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Harley of Gladwin; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene, and a sister, Denise Cornelius. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Duane Koontz will officiate and burial will be in the Beaverton Cemetery. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today, Wednesday.
