Gladwin County Record
LeRoy G. Harvey, 93, of Gladwin died May 21, 2005 at home following a short 
illness. He was born in Berry County on Sept. 2, 1911 to James and Matilda 
(Childs) Harvey. He married the former Florence Peters in Angola, Indiana on 
Jan. 2, 1937. He was a self-employed farmer. He lived in Gladwin County since 
1946 having previously resided in Vermontville. 
Surviving are his wife, Florence Harvey of Gladwin; his daughter, Sharon 
(Richard) Walters of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, Scott (Dawnn) Walters of 
Burton, and Rebecca Walters of Grand Blanc; his Great-grandchildren, Derek 
Walters and Gabriel Walters, both of Grand Blanc, and Jordan Walters and 
Payton Walters, both of Burton; and his sister, Margie “Dollie” Joppie of 
Vermontville. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Gale, Frank 
and Joe; and two sisters, Helen Potter and Sarah Channell. 
A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, May 24 at Hall Funeral Home in 
Beaverton with Rev. Harold Owens officiating. Burial took place at Tobacco 
Township Cemetery in Beaverton.
