Marion Havens, 95, of Beaverton, died Friday, July 23, 1999 at the Gladwin 
Pines Nursing Home in Gladwin after a short illness. Born Sept. 7, 1903 in 
Montpelier, Ohio, he lived most of his life in Gladwin County. Marion married 
the former Martha Hulbert, July 28, 1928 in Pioneer, Ohio. She preceded him in 
death in 1984. He was a foreman for The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, 
retiring in 1969 after 27 years. He was also a deacon at the Beaverton Church 
of the Brethren.
   Surviving are two daughters, Sally Adgate of Muir, and Letha Havens of 
Midland; one sons, Allan and wife June Havens of Beaverton; 11 grandchildren; 
10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces 
and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and two 
sisters. 
   Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Beaverton Church of the 
Brethren with Rev. Kenn Golay and Randall Roose officiating. Burial was in 
Tobacco (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. Memorial contribution may be made to the 
American Heart Association.
