Edward A. Henry, 82, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 1996 at 
MidMichigan Regional Medical Center - Gladwin. Born Sept. 2, 1913 in Hope, he 
resided in the Beaverton area most of his life. Mr. Henry worked several years 
for Dow Chemical until retiring in 1969. He owned and operated the Beaverton 
Mcmorial Co. Mr. Henry was a charter member and active in the Beaverton 
Baptist Church. He married the former Dorothy Boman Dec. 24, 1936 in Gladwin. 
She preceded him in death Nov. 23, 1981. He then married Dorothy Harper of 
Edenville, Dec. 10, 1982.
   Surviving are 2 sons, Richard and wife Kay of Gladwin, and James and wife 
Diana of Loudonville, Ohio; 2 daughters, Janet and husband Byron Vannest of 
Gladwin, and Michele and husband Kevin Talley, also of Gladwin; his twin 
brother, James of Midland; one sister, Margaret Clark of Hope; 10 
grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one 
brother, Archie; and 2 sisters, Mary Ramm and Bernita Henry.
   Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Beaverton Baptist Church. 
The Rev. Curtis Gordon officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. 
Memorials may be made to the Beaverton Baptist Church. Arrangements were 
handled by the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin.
