SERVICES FRIDAY FOR E. J. HESLOP

   Ellis John Heslop, 59, of Wooden Shoe Village, passed away at his home, 
Tuesday. Mr. Heslop had been in ill health for several years. He was born in 
Gladstone, April 5, 1897, the son of Dr. and Mrs. John E. Heslop. He had been 
employed at the Buick plant in Flint for 25 years. 
   He is survived by his wife, Berdie, of Flint; five sons, Ellis Jr., of 
Oregon, Harold Jack and Palma, of Flint, and Billie in the U.S. Army; oen 
daughter, Gloria Gibson, of Flint; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Iva 
Sanborn of Beaverton, and Mrs. Iulus McCullough of California; three brothers, 
William and James, of Gladwin, and Bruce of Washington, D.C.
   Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Walter Easton officiating. Pallbearers will be Leo Martonosi, 
Orville Thorington, Homer D. Blakely, Earl Jones, James Clore and Eber Arnold. 
Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
