A 15-year-old Beaverton High School sophomore was killed and a companion injured Monday afternoon when the snowmobile sled they were riding in was struck by a car on the Lockwood Road in Billings Township. Fatally injured was Richard Hickerson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hickerson, of Lakeview Drive. Injured in the mishap and a patient in the Midland Hospital is Glen MacIntyre, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ean D. MacIntyre, of Farmington. Hospital authorities said MacIntyre sustained a skull fracture, a broken left leg and facial lacerations. His condition was listed as fair, they said. Hickerson and MacIntyre were passengers in the sled with MacIntyre's brother, Bruce, 13, who was shaken up in the mishap. Both escaped injury, Gladwin sheriff's officers said. The accident occurred on a blind curve on the Lockwood Road about 3:30 p.m. The youths were traveling on the wrong side of the road when the car, operated by Donald C.
