Gladwin County Record dated 10-12/1983 Column - 4 Page - 2
Roy H. Higgs, 79, of All-Bright Shores, died Sunday, Oct. 9, of injuries 
sustained in an automobile accident in Oscoda. Born in Harrison on June 18, 
1904, he moved to Gladwin County 20 years ago. He retired in 1965 from the 
Chevrolet plant in Flint. Mr. Higgs and the former Marjorie Pike were married 
in 1954 in Flint. She preceded him in death in 1979. 
   Surviving are 2 sons, Richard of Columbus, Miss. and Hazen of Oscoda; one 
sister, Mrs. Erma Britton of Montrose; and 11 grandchildren. Rites were held 
today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. 
Pastor B. G. Mathews officiated and burial was in the Billings Township 
Cemetery.
