SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. HOOPER, 83

   Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of 
the Brethren for Mrs. Margaret A. Hooper, 83, who died last Wednesday after a 
five year illness. The Rev. Randall Roose and the Rev. Arthur Whisler 
officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
   Born in Huron County on Nov. 3, 1880, the former Margaret Molter was 
married to George Hooper on Aug. 13, 1898. She had been a resident of Gladwin 
County for 70 years.
   Surviving are her husband, George; three daughters, Mrs. Mina Metcalf, Mrs. 
Rose Davis and Mrs. Edith Wilkinson, of Beaverton; three sons, Fred and Earl 
of Beaverton, and Glen, of Coleman; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Watson, of 
Rockford, and Mrs. Lavina O'Neil, of California; 18 grandchildren, 25 great 
grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
