Sarah L. Kennedy was born in Frontenac county, Ontario, Sept. 27, 1863, and moved to Essexville, Mich., with her parents when one year of age, and from there to Midland county. She was married to Wellington W. Hunter Nov. 15, 1882. To this union were born a son, David William; and a daughter, Susie Irene, now Mrs. J. W. Funeral services were held at the farm home Monday at 1 p.m. and from there the body was taken to the Dale church, which was filled by old neighbors to pay their last token of respect to the departed. A number of members of White Clover chapter O.E.S., Gladwin, of which she was a member, were in attendance. A large number of floral offerings covered the casket. Burial took place in the Dale cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. A. J. Preston of Beaverton, and a Beaverton choir sang. The pallbearers were Andrew and Will Snyder, M. L. Kent, C. D. Fairchild, John Flock and Albert Mitchell.
