W. HUNTER DIES EXPIRES AT THE HOUSE OF HIS DAUGHTE IN SAGINAW Walter Wellington Hunter, a resident of Tobacco township, died Tuesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Myers, 3331 South Washington avenue, Saginaw. Mr. Hunter has been in poor health for several weeks, and was first taken with a stroke at his farm home in Tobacco township. He was 72 years, 5 months and 3 days old. Funeral services will be held at 2'clock at the Dale church, Friday afternoon. Mr. Hunter was one of the pioneers of Tobacco township, coming there in the 70's. He was for many years prominent in the affairs of Tobacco township, and looked upon as one of its most substantial citizens. He served as supervisor, and from 1902 to 1906 county treasurer. He had many friends in all parts of the county, and the writer feels a keen sense of personal loss in his passing, severing as it does, a friendship of many years duration. Surviving him are his daughter, Mrs. Myers and his son David W. Hunter, formerly county clerk, and two sisters, Miss Minnie Hunter and Mrs. Adelia Nolan, his wife having preceded him in death a few years since.
