96-YEAR-OLD MAN PASSES AWAY

   James N. Hunter, 96, of Beaverton township passed away Tuesday, March 15, 
after an illness of about two months. Mr. Hunter was born April 3, 1858 at 
Yale, Mich. He had been a resident of Gladwin county about eight years, coming 
here from Spokane, Wash.
   He is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Walter Kemp of Beaverton and Mrs. Myrna 
O'Conner of Detroit; and three nephews, Carmen Collins of Pontiac, William 
Collins of Coleman and Maurice Collins of Beaverton. Funeral services will be 
held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. E. F. Rhoades 
officiating. Burial will be in the Beaverton cemetery.
