James, 72, of Beaverton, died suddenly Wednesday, June 27, 1984, at Midland Hospital Center. He was born Aug. 19, 1911, in Oil City, Pa. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co. tractor assembly plant in Highland Park for 26 years and retired in 1969. Mr. James had been a resident of Beaverton since 1974. He married the former Wilma Fry, June 22, 1946, in Detroit. He leaves his wife, Wilma; son, Kenneth James of Sterling Heights; daughter Jeanne James of Garden City; two grandchildren; and his mother, Mrs. Amy James of Deltona Fla. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hall Funeral Home’s Beaverton Chapel, with the Rev. Dana Lane officiating. Burial will be in Billings Township Cemetery.
