Charles H. Johnson, 86, of 1658 Fornier Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, March 
26, 1994, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after a short 
illness. He was born in Port Huron on May 18, 1907, and moved to Gladwin in 
1971 from Detroit and to Beaverton in 1981. He owned the C. H. Johnson 
Modernization Co. in Detroit and retired in 1970 after 39 years. Mr. Johnson 
and the former Beulah Mindel were married Sept. 14, 1929, in Petosky. She 
preceded him in death June 3, 1981.
   Surviving are one son, Clarence of New Hudson; one daughter, Shonnette 
McAuliffe of Wixom; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded 
in death by a son, Charles Jr. on Nov. 16, 1972 and a sister, Arvilla.
   Rites were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Donald Keen officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
