Gladwin County Record dated 04-08/1987 Column - 3 Page - 2
James W. Jones, 58, of 214 S. Mechanic St., Jackson, died suddenly Saturday, 
April 4. Born in Midland County May 4, 1928, he moved to Jackson 32 years ago 
from Beaverton. Mr. Jones worked in maintenance at the Jackson County 
Courthouse for 13 years.
   Surviving are one son, Dennis of Tulsa, Okla.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Karla 
Woodman and Mrs. Dawn Inman of Midland; his mother, Mrs. Mona VanConant of 
Weidman; 2 brothers, George of Beaverton and David of Jackson; 3 sisters, 
Margaret Yager of Spring Arbor and Alice Jones and Ruth Ann Estes of 
Beaverton. He was preceded in death by a brother, John, Nov. 17, 1945. Rites 
were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Elder 
Paul Schoun officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
