KESSER Mrs. Mable Kesser, 70, of Beaverton, died January 7, 1970, in the Gladwin Hospital after an illness of one year. Born in Litchfield, Ill., on Jan. 29, 1899, she came to Gladwin County a year ago from Taylor. The former Mable Hittle, she was married to William Kesser on Feb. 21, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Kaus, of Godfrey, Ill.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Helen Hartley, of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; and Mrs. Mary Gruenwald, of Lincoln Park; four sisters, Mrs. Alma Williams, of East St. Louis, Ill., Mrs. Gertrude Haynes of Alton, Ill.,, Mrs. Helen Petruzzi, of Memphis, Tenn. and Mrs. Alta Byran, of Waterloo, Ill.; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Rites were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton United Methodist Church. The Rev. A. H. Kessler officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
