RITES HELD FOR MARK KING

   Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for 
Mark King, 76, a resident of Beaverton since 1926. Born in Mecosta County 
October 3, 1888, Mr. King came to Beaverton and was employed by Consumers 
Power Company in the powerhouse at the Beaverton dam. He died January 1 in a 
Rochester hospital following a short illness. His wife, Hannah, preceded him 
in death June 1949. He was a member of the Beaverton Masonic Order and the 
Eastern Star.
   Survivors include one son, Laurain of Beaverton, three sisters, Misses 
Madge and Annie King and Mrs. Lena Williams, all of Rochester; two brothers, 
Earl of Beaverton, and Monroe of Sebewaing. The Rev. Aaron Hyde officiated at 
the services and interment was in the Beaverton Cemetery. Masonic Lodge rites 
were conducted Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m.
