ALPENA RESIDENT BURIED HERE

   Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home for Charles 
Wm. Lake, 65, of Alpena, who died October 30, following an illness of two 
years. Born in Eaton County on Jan. 6, 1900, he was a retired machinest for 
Ford Motor Co. He had resided in Alpena since 1946. He married the former 
Florence Crumpacker on Nov. 3, 1915, in Gladwin.
   Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Violet Waren, Alpena, 
Mrs. Veva Nivison, Detroit, and Mrs. Lela Mansfield, of Alpena; two sons, 
Leonard, of Lincoln Park and Dale, of New York City; three sisters, Mrs. 
Bertha Spencer, of Lakeville, Mrs. Grace Neumann, and Mrs. Mildred Pendlton, 
both of Gladwin; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
   The Rev. Randall Roose officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
