Victoria Adelaide Clark was born in Owen Sound, Ontario, August 20, 1886 and came to Michigan at an early age she was married to William Conway at Harrison and to them were born seven children, three of whom preceded her in death. In 1906 she was married to Charles Lake of Gladwin and lived on a farm near Hockaday for some years, later moving to Beaverton where she resided until ill health forced her to live with her children. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Mabelle Molter of Beaverton, Mrs. Lydia Beck of Minneapolis, Minnesota, two sons, Robert Conway of Mancelona and Stanley Conway of Flint, also an adopted son Lloyd Lake of Mapleton, twelve grandchildren and many friends and relatives. Elder Willis Schrock conducted the services with burial in the Beaverton cemetery.
