He was taken with a paralytic stroke and expired in less than an hour. The body was brought to Beaverton by Mrs. Lane and her son, Frank Shambaugh, where they arrived Tuesday evening having been met in Saginaw by the Beaverton undertaker. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon followed by burial in Beaverton cemetery. Mr. Lane was an old resident of Beaverton where he settled in 1891. A few years ago he moved to Salina, Ohio, and engaged in the mercantile business. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Willis and George Lane of Beaverton, one stepson, Frank Shambaugh of Salina, Ohio, and two nieces, Mrs. E. J. Ernsberger of Lansing and Mrs. Almeda Burris of Flint, and one nephew, J. M. Watters of Lansing. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Ernsberger and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Watters of Lansing and Mrs. Almeda Burris of Flint came to attend the last rites.
