Gilbert F. (Gib) Lane, 72, of 385 W. Brown St., lot 6, Beaverton, died 
suddenly Monday night in the Midland Hospital Center. Born in Beaverton on 
September 1, 1909, he had spent his lifetime in Beaverton, Mr. Lane operated a 
dry cleaning business in Beaverton from 1945 to 1969. He was married to the 
former Muriel Jones on July 28, 1929, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is 
survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Malosh of Beaverton and Mrs. 
Jerry (Beverly) Kinter of Flint; one brother, Russell of Southgated; 6 
grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
   Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Carter Miller will officiate and burial will be in 
the Beaverton Cemetery.
