Mrs. Maude A. Lane, 93, of 446 Glidden Road, Beaverton, died Friday, August 1, 
at a Clare nursing home following an illness of 4 months. Born in Sebewaing, 
August 28, 1881, the daughter of Byron and Jennie Bowen Adams, she had been a 
resident of Gladwin County 80 years since 1895. The former Maude Adams and 
George A. Lane were married in 1901 in Beaverton and he preceded her in death 
May 31, 1965.
   Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Beatrice) Shafer of Beaverton; 2 
sons, Willis of California, and Franklin of St. Clair Shores; 2 grandchildren 
and 1 great grandchild. Services were held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Hall 
Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel with the Rev. David C. Frederick officiating. 
Burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
