Mrs. Muriel L. Lane, 82. of 6127 Eastman Ave., Midland, died Friday, Dec. 27, 
1991, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after an illness 
of 2 years. Born in Filer, Manistee County, Feb. 15, 1909, she had lived in 
Beaverton since 1927 until moving to Midland a year ago. Mrs. Lane co-owned 
Lane's Dry Cleaners in Beaverton from 1945 to 1969. She was a member of the 
Beaverton R.L.D.S. Church and the Gladwin County VFW Auxiliary 7303.
   The former Muriel Jones, she was married to Gilbert (Gib) Lane on July 28, 
1929, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death July 5, 1982.
   Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Shirley Malosh of Midland and Mrs. Jerry 
(Beverly) Kinter of Flint; 2 brothers, Elbert Jones of Bay City and Gail Jones 
of Flint; 2 sisters, Mrs. Nina Herendeen of Zephyrhillis, Fla. and Mrs. Doris 
Woodstock of Independance, Mo.; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lloyd, Clare and Doran Jones and a 
great grandchild, Kyle Kinter.
   Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. Elder Hugh Lewis officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
