ILLNESS FATAL TO WILLIS LANE

   Willis L. Lane, 65, passed away at his home in Beaverton on Monday evening, 
March 5. He had been in ill health for several months. Funeral services will 
be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Beaverton Presbyterian 
church with Elder Elmer Kintner officiating. Burial will be made in the 
Beaverton cemetery. Mr. Lane was born in Genesee county on April 16, 1885, and 
married Miss Hazel Russell on April 19, 1907 in Beaverton.
   He had been a resident of Beaverton for over fifty years and operated the 
Beaverton Hotel for more than twenty years, retiring several years ago. He was 
also agent for the Standard Oil Company in Beaverton and vicinity for many 
years. Mr. Lane was a member of the Beaverton F. & A.M.
   Surviving are his wife, Hazel; three sons, Gilbert, of Beaverton, Robert of 
Sebewaing and Russell, with the United States Marine Corps; one brother, 
George Lane, of Beaverton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
