Gladwin County Record
Lyle N. Leeck Sr., 63, of Beaverton, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000 at home after 
a long illness. Born Jan. 31, 1936 in Alpena, he lived in Gladwin for 40 
years. Lyle married Patricia A. (Genske), Dec. 11, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nev. He 
was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a 
journeyman welder for Buick Motor Division, General Motors, Flint for 30 
years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in 
Gladwin. 
   Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Lyle N. Jr. and Carl, both 
of Beaverton, and Fred and wife Christine of Sanford; three daughters, Dawn 
and husband Kenneth Keller of Beaverton, Delphine Leeck of Gladwin, and Deanna 
and husband Roy Smith of Detroit; one stepson, Andrew Lukowski and friend 
Melissa Martinson of Gladwin; his mother, Evelyn Leeck of Fenton; one brother, 
Francis and wife Darlene of Montrose; one sister, Delores and husband Forrest 
Shook of Fenton; special friends, Doug and Vicki Zorn of Gladwin; and several 
grandchildren. 
   He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Leeck; and one brother, 
Marvin in April 1977. 
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Christ the King Lutheran 
Church in Gladwin with Rev. David Sprang of Christ the King Lutheran Church 
officiating. Burial will be in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church or 
Hospice of Gladwin. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin was in charge of the 
arrangements.
