Lewis, 40, of Hope, was fatally injured about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning when she was struck by a car on M-30 south of Edenville. Midland Sheriff's officers said Mrs. Lewis was walking on the highway wen she was struck by a car driven by James Eugune Miller, 30 of Secord Township, while he was attempting to pass another car. Mrs. Lewis was born on Feb. 2, 1925, in Beaverton. The former Maxine Hutson, she was married to Clarence Lewis Nov. 26, 1945. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Clarence Jr., James, Terry Lynn, and Kenneth, all at home; three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Beebe, of Averill, Mary Ann, and Patricia, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Suzane Stenger, of Beaverton; and one brother, Richard, of Beaverton. Services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
